Young Fine Art Studio has been producing bronze statues for over 35 years.
Company founder and owner Richard D.Young established his business in 1973. Being an apprentice of famous sculptor Dr. Avard Fairbanks, Mr. Young is an expert in all aspects of statue creation, including intricate specifics of foundry work as well as monument installation and restoration.
Young worked closely with Fairbanks, formerly the Dean of Arts at the University of Utah, for over twenty years, studying every aspect of sculpture, enlarging and producing monuments. Young produced many of Dr. Fairbanks monuments including three Angels Moroni for Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint Temples and “Winter Quarters.” He also produced Fairbank’s “George Washington” monument.
Richard Young’s monuments grace city and state buildings, historical and religious sites as well as museums and private collections. Young has also done art restoration on some of the treasured works of Cyrus Dallin and Solum Borglum. Salt Lake City selected him to restore its most famous landmark; the bronze “This is the Place” monument by Mohonri Young.
Ms.Toritch graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, Russia, where she received her classical training. Lena Toritch’s work can be seen in corporate and private collections all over the country. She considers portraits and large scale memorial statues her specialty.
In 2008 Toritch completed three heroic size statues for the new Utah Law Enforcement Memorial at the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City
